English Trainer

 

The ideal candidate has a background in English or Reading teaching or tutoring and experience working with students in need of intervention. S/he is comfortable teaching reading, writing, grammar, and the reading and English sections of the ACT. Additionally, s/he is comfortable teaching grades 6-12. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic and a patient self-starter who wants to help students become independent learners. 

Math Trainer

 

The ideal candidate is comfortable with all levels of math (from middle school to Calculus), is capable of explaining mathematical concepts to struggling students, and can help diagnose earlier areas of misunderstanding that impact the student’s current abilities in math. S/he is also comfortable tutoring for the Math and Science portions of the ACT. 

Science Trainer

 

We are currently seeking candidates for all levels of science, especially Physics and Chemistry. The ideal candidate has a firm foundation in the content knowledge of these subjects and can clearly explain these ideas to a struggling student.
